Office Information

CAMPUS OFFICE

2108 Harrisburg Pike, Suite 100
Lancaster, PA 17601

Our office hours are by appointment. Our office hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some Saturday hours are available. When calling for an appointment, be prepared to tell the scheduling operator your symptoms and how long they have persisted.

Scheduling your appointment promptly and at a convenient time for you is one of our top priorities. Making an appointment before coming to the office will reduce your waiting time and help us prepare for your visit.

For appointments, please call:

  • (717) 544-3900 (Main office)
  • (717) 464-4333 (Willow Lakes office)

If you cannot keep an appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance to reschedule. If you will be late for an appointment, please call, as we may need to reschedule your appointment.

To help your office visit proceed smoothly:

  1. Please bring a list of your current medications and dosages; if a list is unavailable, please bring the medication bottles. Alert us of any drug allergies that you may have.
  2. Note whether you need refills of your eye medications (if any).
  3. Before you come to the office, write down any questions you need answered.
  4. Please bring along your insurance ID card so we can register information into your account.

What to expect when you visit:

Please check in with our receptionist when you arrive. One of our specially trained technicians may see you first. During this part of the exam, a number of measurements and details may be recorded, and dilating drops may be administered. Dilation of the eye is necessary for a detailed examination of the retina, nerve and other vital structures in the back of the eye.

Driving after dilation:

Dilating drops are used for certain types of eye exams, such as routine eye exams, cataract check-up, diabetic retinal inspections, some glaucoma exams, exams for retinal/macular diseases (such as macular degeneration) and all neurological evaluation exams. Your doctor will determine if dilation is required.

After pupil dilation, your vision may be sensitive to light for a period of four (4) to eight (8) hours and therefore your driving vision may be somewhat impaired. For this reason, some patients prefer to bring a companion along to their appointment, to serve as a driver. Also, if you have sun glasses, you may want to bring them with you to the visit.

We make every effort to keep the cost of your medical eye care down. You can help us do that by paying your portion (i.e. co-payments etc) at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Debit cards.

Fees for office visits may vary according to the complexity of your problem, the amount of time your visit requires, the number and type of eye tests performed and whether you were referred by another doctor for evaluation of a specific problem.

We are happy to have you as a patient in our office regardless of what type of health insurance you may have.

We participate with Medicare, HealthAssurance, PHC, Highmark Blue Shield, Capital Blue Cross, CoreSource and more. Please feel free to call our office at (717) 544-3900 to verify participation with your particular health insurance.

Remember, your insurance policy is a contract between you and your insurance company. When your physician provides medical care, you retain an obligation to pay for the services.

Please remember that depending on the complexity of your medical situation, you should expect to spend thirty (30) minutes to two (2) hours in the office. More complex medical conditions require longer periods of time in the office.

Appointment Policy

  • We will attempt to confirm your appointment day and time prior to your actual appointment, but it is still the patient's responsibility to keep appointments.
  • Cancelled appointments are accepted if the cancellation is made more than 24 hours in advance of the appointment.
  • Appointments missed without cancelling 24 hours in advance are considered to be "no shows".

Payment Policy

  • Co-pays and past due balances are collected at the time of your appointment. If a patient does not pay their co-pay at the time of service, an administrative processing fee will be added.
  • All previous fees are to be paid either before the next appointment or at the time of your next appointment.
  • If Campus Eye Center participates with your insurance company we will submit the medical portion of your visit to your insurance. It is the patient's responsibility to pay what the insurance company does not cover.
